Vampire Reliquary—juniper, quartz crystal, moonstone, and sterling silver
I harvested this juniper berry from the base of Bran Castle when I visited Romania in September, 2024. Juniper has ancient associations, and was used for protection and to ward off evil and evil creatures, such as vampires.
I included raw moonstone chips in the glass vial, and a quartz crystal point on the sterling silver cap for extra protective qualities.
The pendant hangs from a single silver loop, so it lays on your chest at a diagonal.
I cut and soldered all the silver pieces myself; the glass vial and quartz are held in place with a sturdy adhesive.
While sturdy enough for normal wear, be gentle wearing your necklace! The vial is glass, and of course glass can break. The juniper berry is real, and while it is dried it may break down naturally over time, as all non-vampiric organic material does.
